Find your breath as you flow with mindfulness in this vinyasa style class. Compared to a regular vinyasa class, there are longer holds and intentional movement between poses. With challenging poses as well, this class will invigorate your body and heart, setting you up for a good weekend. All levels are welcome as modifications are offered, with medium to high level intensity.

​Connect with your inner strength and tap into your potential with this mindful power yoga class. Some poses are challenging, like arm balances or inversions, but the same sequence is taught repeatedly throughout the month, giving you opportunity to observe the change within yourself. This is a high intensity class and recommended for people who have had some exposure to yoga.

Let go of your week in this nourishing relaxation class. Starting with a grounding pranayama (breath) practice, the poses that follow focus on deep stretching and releasing,  and then we end with a short guided meditation. Most poses are done seated or on your back, making this class suitable for everyone, including beginners and pre-natal students.

Reach up to the sky with the trees. Ground yourself down into the earth. Find freedom in the wind that blows around you and within you. Practicing yoga in the outdoors is an amazing opportunity to feel oneness with not just your self but with Mother Earth. This is an all-levels class and beginners are welcome. Medium intensity. Bring your family and friends, and your furry friend too!

Perhaps you are new to yoga and want to learn the foundations before joining a class. Or you are an experienced yogi and want to deepen your practice. Private class is a perfect way to find exactly what you need. I can craft a tailor-made class just for you. Some options are: foundations of yoga, alignment and advanced poses, breath and meditation, bilingual yoga, kids yoga. I can host up to two people in my home studio across the street from Negishi Shinrin Park. I can also come to your house if you are within thirty minutes of travel time and at an additional cost.

Class Fee:

70 minutes:¥9,000/person, ¥12,000 for 2

90 minutes: ¥11,000/person, ¥15,000 for 2 (recommended for breathwork, bodywork, and meditation)

Seasonal Self Care Yoga

Meditation

Take a moment once a month to notice what's unfolding and return back to where you want to be. This class is a gentle yoga class infused with seasonal care techniques from Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (meridians). Enjoy an extended relaxation with live music and singing at the end.

Open to all levels and taught bilingually when there are English speakers. Free mat rental available.

Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy and birth is a powerful life-altering event. The most important thing is for the baby to be healthy and safe, but it's also an opportunity for the expecting mother to transform and encounter a new self. This class aims to help alleviate minor irritations related to pregnancy. Students can cultivate strength for birth and capacity to connect with oneself and the baby through breathwork and meditation.

Private Class

A private prenatal class is a wonderful opportunity to care for yourself as you prepare for birth. Content can be catered to the unique needs of each expecting mother, and tools such as breathing and affirmations, as well as awareness of body and mind can support the birthing process. (Must be in the second trimester and beyond, and have consent from the doctor).

 

A postpartum class is for suitable for women seeking to restore and rest, as well as strengthen pelvic floor muscles after giving birth. (Must be 8-10 weeks postpartum and have consent from the doctor)

The class can be done in your home if within 30 minutes of travel time (¥1,000 plus transportation), at the instructor's home or Motomachi rental studio, or on zoom.

Day Retreats

Overnight Retreats

Day Retreats: Come find spaciousness as you step away from your everyday life and check-in with your self, seasonally. We gather at the tearoom in Osaragi Jiro Museum located in the center of a beautiful garden at Harbor View Park (Yokohama, Naka-ku) to practice yoga, meditation, as well as walking and eating meditations inspired by the Buddhist mindfulness teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, and art/creative expressions to tap into the more intuitive part of us. This program is bilingual, and the next session will be in the fall of 2024.

Overnight Retreats: These overnight retreats are for those who want a deeper immersion practice into yoga and meditation, as well as a space for deep rest and nourishment. The program is held at Goen-no-Mori, a vegan mindfulness onsen venue in Yugawara. Gathering with like minded participants and finding nourishment through onsen and wonderful means prepared with care will provide extra support on your life journey. English Retreat for 2024 is Oct. 26-27th.
